22 Tampa Bay spots where you can always drink in your bathing suit

Here in Florida it's all about boozing in your bathing suit, and these local spots encourage it. The temperature has reached well over 90 degrees, which means summer is here forever. Skip the sweat and opt for a destination that allows you to booze in a pool, folks. From poolside bars, to beaches (with a few exceptions), these local spots are answering your prayers.

WTR Pool & Grill

You don’t need to reserve a room to take advantage of the WTR Pool & Grill. You can dive in any day of the week from 11 a.m. to sunset. Sip on a daiquiri in your rented cabana, or gather with friends for a Sunday Funday swim and sip.

Caddy’s on the Beach

This beach bar has been ranked on the top 10 on Florida Beach Bar list for years. Spend your entire day in your suit popping in the water and back up to the bar for some booze.

The Fenway Rooftop Bar

Still fresh in the Dunedin scene, this revamped hotel is made the visitor’s experience a top priority. Done with taking a swim in the downstairs pool? Head up to the rooftop bar for views of the water and elevated cocktails. The only way you want to see a summer sunset.

The Getaway

Great spot to let your kid run around while you grab a cocktail to escape the summer heat. You can even ride your paddleboard up to the dock to grab a few brews.

Shephard’s Beach Resort

The giant pool is framed with palm trees and a full bar. The crowd is always down to party, so be prepared to drink a little too much. Thankfully, if you spill anything on your suit, you can dive right into the water.

The Hollander

Another hotel you can take a swim as a non guest without getting tossed out for trespassing. Check the calendar to see when you can take advantage of its poolside yoga events. Yoga, booze and backstroke. Just a heads up, this only applies on Sunday afternoons.

Don CeSar

This picturesque destination is the place to be all summer long . Whether it’s to beautify your social media feeds or need to switch up your usual beach drinking routine, the Don CeSar needs to be added to your summer to-do list.

Jimmy Guana’s

Let your kids go wild at this bar’s pool, while you bask in the summer rays with your frozen margarita. Although the beach is just a few blocks away, avoid the sand in your swimsuit and stick to chlorine and short walk for a refill.

Coco Coronado

This outdoor bar makes it easy to booze in your suit. You can pregame with brews, checkers, Jenga and cornhole before heading out to spend the rest of the day on the sand. Or maybe, you’ll end up staying all day for the live music.

Harry’s Beach Bar

After sipping on a few cocktails at Harry’s, head directly outside of the gated area to take a cat nap in the hammocks. Then, head on back for a dip in the pool and some more brews.

Walk up from the beach to PCI’s bar, need to toss on extra clothes, your mission is to drink. Usually a younger crowd, jump in a game if beach volleyball or work on your tan during a round of cornhole.

Don’t have a boat? No problem. Grab your cooler and head over tot e northern tip of Longboat Key during low tide to get your daydrink on. This secluded island is a popular local hangout, come here to escape the tourists and get buzzed in your suit.

Madeira Beach

Yes, you can BYOB to Maderia and Redington Beach, you just can’t have it in a glass bottle. Stock up on Solo cups and tumblers, it's time to save some serious money while still getting your buzz on in the sun.

Sheraton Riverwalk

The waterfront hotel hosts locals who are in need of some swim time along with a cocktail. The riverfront pool offers some incredible views, and the full bar will make them look even better.

Adventure Island

Hustle through the crowds and get to the nearest bar in John’s Pass Village for a beer after a day searching for seashells on Madeira Beach. Although swim suits are totally acceptable, shoes are a must.
