The Tampa Bay area's restaurant scene has been exploding with new concepts over the last few weeks. If you haven't had a chance to explore them, time to make a summer bucket list of the new joints that will ruin all hopes of that beach body. Here are some of the latest restaurants that have debuted, and a handful of ones on the way.

Pete’s General Store
495 7th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-440-6183Since its opening in April, locals have been raving about Pete's General Store's signature bagels. The general store, which aims for waste consciousness as well as convenience, is inspired by the weekend markets in Tampa and the bodegas of New York. While the store is mainly grab-and-go, outdoor seating with string lighting and picnic tables are available if you want to kick back with a beer and stay a while.

Baum Mi By La V
1113 Baum Ave. N St. Pete, 727-379-1100OPEN FOR BUSINESS: The new concept at Baum Ave Market offers boba tea, Baum mis, fresh fruit smoothies, salads, spring rolls, and rice noodle bowls. Quick grab-and-go snacks include roasted seaweed, energy bars, and wafers. Plus, all offerings can substitute meat for tofu.

Aloha Ansley Hawaiian Fusion
1931 West Bay Dr. Suite B, Largo, 727-953-3757OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Aloha Ansley serves up Hawaiian fusion-based offerings. Slide by to try dishes including poke bowls and Oahi sliders made up of three Hawaiian rolls loaded up with slow-cooked shredded chicken breast, Hawaiian vinegar-based slaw and home-made barbecue sauce. There is a limited wine and beer menu offered as well as a selection of sorbets for dessert.

Boss Bitch Pizza
Delivery through UberEats, DoorDash or PostmatesOPEN FOR BUSINESS: This delivery only pizza service is all about getting what you want without the guilt and without sacrificing flavor. Boss Bitch Pizza’s pies are made with gluten-free vegan cauliflower crust and named for iconic women of history like The Jackie Kennedy, The Donatella and The Audrey Hepburn.

The Cake Girl

Casita Taqueria

Chicken Salad Chick

The fast-casual concept serves up a variety of classic chicken salad flavors with a twist, like the Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples, seedless grapes, and pecans. Customers can also choose from traditional, savory, spicy and nutty variations served as a scoop, sandwich or salad.

Clearwater Brewing Co.

Fort Harrison Ave. Clearwater, 844-737-1700OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Established in 2017 by four beer aficionado friends, Clearwater Brewing Co. is pouring up it’s pints out of a renovated gas station. While the brewery itself doesn’t have a food menu yet, delivery orders from nearby barbeque joint, Homestyle BBQ, are available to customers.

Happy Cactus Mexican Cocina
2676 Bayshore Blvd., Suite H, Dunedin, 727-286-7637.OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Dunedin has just debuted some authentic Mexican cuisine with the latest concept to hit the streets, Happy Cactus Mexican Cocina. The menu is loaded with various styles of tortas, enchiladas, burritos and chile rellenos; not to mention a street taco selection where you can choose from veggie, carne asada, or campechano as well as fish, chicken and/or shrimp.

Hometown Crepes
1113 Central Ave St. St. Pete, phoneOPEN FOR BUSINESS: The made to order sweet and savory crepe offerings will be served the same hours as Baum Ave Market, closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. One signature offering is the Nut'n But Love with a Nutella base, stuffed with crushed up nuts and drizzled with caramel.

SOHO Juice Co.
500 S. Howard Ave. Tampa, 813-253-2653OPEN FOR BUSINESS: The fifth location of the juice joint debuted inside the Heights Public Market May 3. SOHO offers acai bowls, cold-pressed juice, juice cleanses, smoothies, vegan meals, and other plant-based snacks.

Stoned Pizza Italian Grille

Baba
2701 Central Ave. St. Petersburg, 727-954-3406COMING SOON: This bakery-restaurant mix will offer an Americanized take on Greek and Lebanese cuisine. The bakery will carry menu items like house-made pita bread, kebabs, sandwiches, Greek coffee and sometimes pastries (think baklava). As for the restaurant, diners should look forward to a mix of entrees and starters, plus a full-liquor bar with cocktails featuring hints of Lebanese and Greek inspiration.

The Breakroom

Customers will also have access to a loaded salad bar. Fitting of the name, the Breakroom will also be offering up free wifi and coffee daily.

Meridian Ave. TampaCOMING SOON: This popular downtown St. Pete watering hole will be debuting a second location of the adult playground with giant beer pong, DJs and retro arcade games in June. Menu offerings are planned to mirror the 'Burg location, with over-the-top bar bite essentials and signature cocktails like the Party Pouch aka an adult CapriSun.

Stones Throw
1910 N Ola Ave. Tampa, 813-328-3910COMING SOON: New oyster bar Stone’s Throw was originally expected to open in Armature Works in late May, but after hosting a preview dinner at Boca Tampa on May 29th and dipping into June still yet to open, we can expect them to get shucking sometime later in the month.

Bay Cannon Beer Company
2106 W. Main St. TampaCOMING SOON: Set to open in mid-July BCB will be the first brewery in Historic West Tampa since DeSoto Brewing shut down in 1936. Owners Matthew Juaire and Joe Simmons will be brewing up their signature selection of craft beers, including a Hazy Brut IPA and a Brut Belgian, in the renovated former theater.

180 Central Ave. St. Petersburg, 727-202-1182COMING SOON: With this Central Avenue location opening June 17, guests can expect the same menu offerings as Datz other locations, like the decadent Double D burger, complete with glazed doughnuts for buns, or the Cheesy Todd, with fried mac 'n' cheese discs sandwiching in fat patties. Not to mention colorful cocktails, and equally-as-creative vegetarian options.
