25 Tampa Bay restaurants with outdoor patios open this weekend

In Phase One of Florida’s plan for reopening during the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants are permitted to open their patios with six-feel social distancing. And many local restaurants are chomping at the bit to welcome guests back to their establishments. These Tampa Bay dining and drinking destinations have opened up their dining rooms and patios, with COVID-19 precautions in place, to offer their guests the culinary experience they've missed in a safe manor.

The Salt Shack

The Salt Shack, one of Tampa’s largest outdoor tiki bars and waterfront patios, has reopened to the public. Guests can expect their regular full menu featuring their staple grouper sandwich, fish tacos and frozen daiquiris, as well as increased precautions like spaced out tables and a limited capacity.

Hampton Station Pizza

Hampton Station Pizzeria re-opened its dining area with many safety precautions in place. The restaurant’s newly designed menu will feature its staple pizza, salads and calzones.

Mekenita Cantina

Seminole Heights favorite Mekenita Cantina is now open, serving their signature Mexican dishes from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is open at 25% capacity and has a limited patio seating of three tables.

Jackson's Bistro, Bar & Sushi

Jackson’s Bistro is now open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Jackson’s waterfront dining experience will feature social distancing and CDC guidelines, but the full menu will be available ? sushi, steak and all. Neighboring restaurant, American Social, is open at 25% capacity indoors and tables spaced 6-feet apart on its waterfront patio overlooking downtown Tampa.

Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant

Margarita's Mexican Restaurant reopened with limited seating at a capacity of 25%. The restaurant's signature dishes and margaritas are available now Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Meat Market

Tampa’s Meat Market reopened its dine-in service with many safety precautions in place such as: required temperature checks lower than 100 degrees for guest and staff entry; available hand sanitizer for all guests; six-feet social distancing and disposable menus. Guests can expect the full menu featuring signature steak, scottish salmon and dumplings.

New World Brewery

New World Brewery’s patio is now open with social distancing precautions in place Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. In addition the brewery will continue its weekend pre-order events. Signature menu items like thin and crispy pizza, jerk smoked wings and cocktails are available along with New World’s full and extensive menu.

New York New York Pizza

New York New York’s Ybor location has reopened dine-in services with available seating at six outdoor tables. Their complete menu, including signature pies like the calzone and stromboli, is available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Oggi Italian

Oggi Italian has reopened its indoor and outdoor seating areas though reservation in order to safely meet social distancing guidelines and 25% capacity. The outdoor-friendly Davis Island tavern’s updated hours are Monday through Saturday 4 to 10 p.m.; brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Punky’s Bar and Grill

Punky’s Bar and Grill is now reopened with limited indoor seating of 25% capacity and ample seating on its covered patio, while continuing food order pickup from 12 to 8 p.m. everyday. Most of the menu, including staple burgers and sandwiches, has returned, as well.

Social House

The Social House is now offering distanced outdoor patio seating from 12 to 9 p.m. every day. Socal House’s menu has returned featuring philly cheesesteaks, cobb salads, corn beef hash and more.

Thee Tree House

Thee Tree House, a rustic bar and bistro, reopened with limited indoor and outdoor seating and two hour seating limitations. The bistro’s hours have shifted with the reopening, it is closed Monday through Thursday; open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays; 10 am to 2 a.m. on Saturdays and open from 10 a.m. to 9 pm.

Zydeco Brew Werks

Zydeco Brew Werks has reopened at 25% capacity indoors with patio seating and hand sanitizing stations. Hours of operation are seven days a week, opening at noon every day and closing when business determines. Zydeco’s full menu, including the new blackened red fish po boy and staple wings and fries, has returned, as well.

The Anchor Bar

The Anchor Bar’s Downtown Tampa location has reopened for inside seating at limited capacity, or guests can place a to-go order and sit at distanced tables on the closed road outside.

Armature Works

Armature Works’ vendors will operate Monday through Sunday for take-out and delivery and are offering first come, first serve limited outside seating. Southern-inspired restaurant Steelbach and Euro-American restaurant Oak & Ola are open for limited inside seating, as well.

The C House

The C House has opened its patio and to-go orders with separate on-premise and to-go menus. Hours of operation have been changed to 12 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 12 to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 11 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Guests can expect increased sanitizing efforts, single-use menus and live music from a 6-foot distance.

Circles Waterfront Restaurant

Circles Waterfront Restaurant has reopened four of their eight outdoor seating areas for a first come, first serve limited capacity. Guests can expect an updated “COVID-19 Apocalypse Menu” featuring their signature cocktails and seafood eats.
