A Frank Lloyd Wright-style home owned by a prominent Central Florida citrus farmer is now for sale

There's a good chance you've eaten a tangerine grown by the owners of this unique lakefront home in Polk County.

Located at 829 SR-540 W, in Winter Haven, this Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home was built in 1924 in the famed architect's "Prairie style" and sits on a five-acre plot along Eagle Lake.

The home is owned by Quinton Roe and his wife Lori, and if you live in Florida, more than likely you've had one of their oranges at some point. Roe is the CEO of William G. Roe & Sons—a fourth generation family-owned citrus company that grows a variety of fruit, including a patented "Juicy Crunch" tangerine, which is currently found in supermarkets like Publix, Whole Foods and Fresh Market.

The 7,947-square-foot home comes with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths, as well as three indoor brick fireplaces, narrow-gauge hardwood floors, a terracotta clay tile roof, 600 feet of lakefront and a very rare full basement with storm cellar doors. But probably the highlight of this property is Roe's fruit and tree specimens, which include his own blend styles of avocado, mango trees, blueberry, finger lime, lemon and lime trees, as well as a giant camphor tree. According to the listing, an additional adjacent 7-acre Valencia orange grove can also be tacked onto the sale.

The home is currently asking $2,500,000 and the listing agent is Rick Hemenway with Crosby & Associates, Inc.
