A massive Pasco County horse farm is for sale, and it comes with its own private airport

A nearly 30-acre horse farm is now for sale in Pasco County, and you're legally allowed to land a plane there.

Located at 35731 Blanton Rd. in Dade City, this giant estate was originally owned by the late Herbert "Dusty" Rhode (no relation to the famous wrestler Dusty Rhodes), according to property records. Rhode was a private and commercial pilot, which would explain why the property comes with a 2,500-square-foot airplane hanger, and its own legally deeded FAA airstrip, called the "Dusty Air Patch Airport."

"It’s such a peaceful, beautiful, and truly a unique property for being this close to Tampa," says listing agent Jeremiah Bicknese to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay.

But besides an airport, the estate also comes with a hand-built 1,866-square-foot log cabin main house, featuring two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, as well as hand-scraped wood beams, and knotty pine walls. The property also has an Ocala block horse barn, with eight stalls and a second story two-bedroom detached guest house.

The estate is currently asking $1,490,000 and the listing agents are Jeremiah Bicknese and Tricia Smedley of Smith & Associates.
