A midcentury-modern gem from one of the founders of the Sarasota School of Architecture movement is now on the market.
Designed by the late renowned architect Tim Seibert, the home was built in 1963 and remarkably has only had two owners.
Located at 801 Idlewild Way in Sarasota, the 2,816 square-foot house comes with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, as well as the original terrazzo floors, the original Seibert Japanese privacy screens, a 2,000 square-foot screened outdoor court yard with a pool, a 184 feet of waterfront, and a 10,000-pound boat lift on the dock.
Seibert died in 2018, but was responsible for an overwhelming amount of structures in the Sarasota area, including the award-winning Hiss Studio, the Siesta Key Beach Pavilion, the MacDonald House on Siesta Key and the Lido Key Beach Pavilion, to name a few.
According to the listing, the home sale actually comes with the original raised-seal building plans.
The home is currently going for $1,500,000, and the listing agent is Judie Berger of Premier Sotheby's International Realty.
