An iconic Florida ‘Treehouse’ is now on the market along the Gulf of Mexico

A truly unique tower with some serious Swiss Family Robinson vibes is now on the market along Florida's "Forgotten Coast."

Known locally as the "Treehouse," this four-story structure is located at 2924 Highway 98 E, in Lanark Village, which is about an hour south of Tallahassee. Built in 1998, the home is currently used as a vacation rental, and was quite literally "site specific," says the listing. "The tall slender building was conceived to preserve the natural surroundings. The small footprint of the home spares the palmettos and pines while offering serene vistas up and down the Forgotten Coast."

The 1,452-square-foot building comes with one bedroom and two bathrooms, as well as the chance to charge guests around $250 a night.

The current asking price for the whole thing is $749,000, and the listing agent is Debbie Brett of Harbor Point Realty.
