Did The Weeknd pay $100,000 to rent this Tampa mansion on Davis Islands?

With $7 million of his own cash reportedly spent in preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl 55 halftime show, The Weeknd has a lot on his mind this week, so it makes sense that he also forked out some serious stacks for a nice pad while he's in Tampa.

According to the Page Six, the Grammy-winning singer spent $100,000 to rent a manse on Davis Islands. According to the publication, the 6,000 square-foot house has an asking price of $9.1 million and comes with six bedrooms, and a "pool, bay views and a private dock."

As of now, there's only 11 properties for sale on Davis Islands, and the only one that currently fits this description in every way is a $9,150,000 modern behemoth on Riviera Drive.

Is this the Weeknd's Super Bowl rental? Tough to say. The listing agent confirmed to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the house is indeed being rented for the upcoming Super Bowl, but would not say exactly who is staying there. Coincidentally, if this is the house then he's just a down the street from Derek Jeter's pad, which is currently being rented by Tom Brady.

The Weeknd has had a busy couple weeks here in Tampa. The starboy donated 150 meals from Black-owned restaurant Mama’s Southern Soul Food to frontline healthcare workers at AdventHealth Carrollwood.
