It's been just over a week since the death of George Floyd, 46-year-old Black man who suffocated and died under the knee of white Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. And while Floyd's death has led to second-degree murder charges for Chauvin, as well as charges for the other three officers involved, the incident continues to spark nationwide protests calling for systematic change among our local police forces. Since May 30, Tampa Bay has witnessed nearly daily and nightly protests, most of which were peaceful. Here are a few of the signs our team of photographers have spotted at local protests.
