Protesters gathered around the county courthouse in downtown Tampa on Sunday demanding that charges be dropped against protesters arrested during the more than two weeks of demonstrations.

On Monday, some of the demands were met. In a Monday news conference, State Attorney Andrew Warren said his office would not prosecute 67 people arrested on allegations of unlawful assembly, saying, “Prosecuting people for exercising their First Amendment rights doesn’t solve problems, it creates them.”
