Rock the Park is nearing a decade of providing denizens of downtown Tampa an opportunity to see some of the best local bands working in Tampa Bay (not to mention the occasional national touring act). The free monthly concert is also brave to celebrate its anniversary in the summer. Like last year, Rock the Park’s anniversary show was forced indoors on Thursday night, but three of Tampa’s most impressive live acts — Brother Cephus, Hotbox and Charles Irwin — took to downtown dive bar The Hub for a special “Rock the Hub” anniversary show.
