Photos of the Tampa Bay Lightning celebrating their Stanley Cup championship with friends and family

On Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the Tampa Bay Lightning earned the Stanley Cup by beating the Dallas Stars 2-0 in a series-ending Game 6, the Bolts were already back in Tampa where the team plane touched down at Sheltair Aviation. The boys were greeted by their families—plus Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and Tampa Mayor Jane Castor—before being whisked away, down Bayshore Boulevard and back to Amalie Arena where the team held a private championship ceremony for families, staff and other VIPs. The general public gets to cheer on the champs today during a boat parade that kicks off at 5 p.m. and travels from Davis Islands all the way to Rick’s on the River. —Ray Roa
