If you were a punk in the 1980s, then you knew about Moving Targets. Large scale commercial success evaded frontman-guitarist Kenny Chambers, but the group, which saw tragedy take two of its core members, still managed to write its own legend by signing a deal with revered imprint Taang!. On Thursday, Chambers took Moving Targets to Seminole Heights’ Microgroove, where owner Keith Ulrey—who once played a show with Moving Targets in Bremen, Germany—welcomed a sold-out crowd to the space. Local punk scene legend Slap of Reality opened the show.—Ray Roa
