The 25 most-anticipated restaurants coming to Tampa Bay this fall

Summer already saw a slew of new eateries debut in Tampa Bay, but the year isn't over. From new Indian street food spots, to food halls, to vegan fast food, Tampa Bay's food scene is about to pop off this fall. Here are a few heavily-hyped spots about to open in the coming months.

Anju

2827 16th St. N., St. Petersburg, (727) 252-3991
Popular Korean fried chicken food truck Anju is moving into a brick and mortar space. The restaurant serves Asian fare like egg rolls, and the BAP Bowl, a classic Korean bibimbap bowl with assorted veggies, beef bulgogi and spicy chili sauce on a bed of steamed rice, smothered tots and more.

Hiccups & Churroholic

13030 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa
This Asian-inspired chain is coming to Tampa soon. A collaboration between Hiccups Teahouse and Churroholics, they will sell dishes like popcorn chicken, pho, kimchi fried rice, garlic noodles, and of course, churros. The churros are made-to-order and come in a variety of unique flavors like matcha.

On the Fly

4447 4th St. N. #1, St. Petersburg
The Ciccio Restaurant Group is opening On the Fly, a food hall, this fall. Restaurants include South Tampa staples Taco Dirty, which offers bowls and tacos, Sweet Soul, known for plant-based smoothies and acai bowls, Fresh Kitchen, which offers build-your-own-bowls and Better Byrd, a fried chicken concept.

Paradeco Coffee Roasters

111 2nd Avenue NE Suite no. 101, St. Petersburg
Paradeco is the latest of many coffee shops in St. Pete. Once open, customers can grab espresso drinks and baked goods sourced from local bakeries as well as overnight cold oats, avocado toast, wraps and breakfast sandos. You can even opt for vegan or gluten-free treats.

Beans & Barlour mobile truck

This fall, Beans & Barlour is taking its boozy ice cream scoops on the road. The mobile dessert bar will make its debut in mid-to-late October serving up bites and a full liquor license. You can grab edible cookie dough, cookies, milkshakes and more.

Valkyrie Doughnuts

2444 Central Ave, St. Petersburg
Vegan favorite Valkyrie Doughnuts is opening a second location in St. Pete. Known for its square-shaped doughnuts, Valkyrie offers a variety of eccentric flavors including cotton candy, caramel choc chip, strawberry lemonade, and passion fruit strawberry. All selections are egg-free and dairy-free.

Milkin’it

Milkin’it is the latest Insta-worthy spot to make its way to Tampa. Guests will have their choice of nostalgic eats including classic cereals infused with flavored milks. The joint will also serve ice cream made out of cereal milk, smoothies, vegan cookies, pastries, Cuban and egg sandwiches, and of course, coffee.

Dal Moro’s Fresh Pasta To Go

653 Central Ave., St. Petersburg
Popular pasta joint Dal Moro’s is coming to St. Pete. The first of the brand’s restaurants in the U.S., Dal Moro’s makes fresh pasta from scratch in front of diners. Five varieties of pasta are on the menu, including fusilli, spaghetti, gnocchi, bigoli and linguine. Customers can choose from nine artisan sauces like pesto, carbonara and bolognese.

Jack Pallino’s Napoletano Pizza and Pub

718 Broadway, Dunedin
Although little has been shared publicly about what customers can expect from this new sports bar, the restaurant’s Facebook reads, “Napoli, Italy has put this dish to the test for over a thousand years. The result is simply beautiful! At Pallino’s we transport your taste buds to the south of Italy with some classic flavors, and of course some imaginative pies by Chef Traci Bryant.”

Xtreme Tacos

Slated to open early-to-mid-September in Seminole Heights, the Mexican-American restaurant will serve its signature menu and specials with eats for both omnivores and vegans like tostadas, sopes, loaded fries and nachos. Xtreme also serves desserts including churros, chocolate chunk cookies and tres leches cake.

Lala

St. Pete is set to welcome its very first combination restaurant, bar and private karaoke joint. Lala’s menu is said to feature American cuisine with a French influence. The restaurant also offers a loaded cocktail menu featuring an array of wine and Grand Central’s craft brews.

Mowgli’s Tiffin

Mowgli’s Tiffin is an upcoming Indian street food restaurant in St. Pete. The 16 seat, 526-square-foot restaurant is based around a user-friendly, limited menu which will include a twist on the traditional kati roll and more.

Pizza N’ Brew

217 Central Ave, St. Petersburg
The second spot replacing Caddy’s On Central will be Pizza N’ Brew. This location will be the second one for the restaurant which will serve New York-style pizza by the slice and entire pie.

The Brickyard

217 Central Ave, St. Petersburg
The former Caddy’s On Central space in St. Pete will soon become home to two restaurants including The Brickyard. An 8,000 square-foot restaurant, it will serve traditional American cuisine including small plates like wings, quesadillas, ribs, tacos, and sandos. Paying homage to its predecessor, the resto also plans on regularly hosting live music.

Pups Pub

Pups Pub is an indoor-outdoor dog bar coming to Tampa soon. All humans must be 21-and-up, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations, must be non-aggressive, and all dogs over one year old must be spayed or neutered. Memberships cost $10 for a day, $20 a month or $199 a year.

Manhattan Casino Food Hall

Manhattan Food Hall is joining in on the Tampa Bay food hall action this fall. St. Petersburg’s Chef Mel from 3 Generations food truck and the Graveley brothers serve as two anchor tenants for the restaurant side while a search for a third anchor is ongoing. Deuces Coffee and Calle 22 are smaller entities that allow visitors to network while grabbing a hot drink or a selection of small bites like sandwiches and pastries.

Raining Berries

Raining Berries is St. Pete’s newest coffee shop and acai bar opening in Artistry Apartments this fall. With locations in Lutz and Tampa, the St. Pete location will carry on the chain’s mission to bring people together over a cup of Joe.

Santelli’s Pizza & Pasta

Coming to Odessa soon is family-owned Santelli’s. This fast-casual restaurant will serve iconic Italian dishes. That means calzones, zeppole, pasta with housemade sauces and New York-style pizzas. Once open, customers can dine inside or on the patio lined with Italian Cypress trees.

Dignitary Cafe

Dignitary Cafe is the latest venture by former Buccaneer Ian Beckles. The South Tampa spot still hasn't announced its address, but it will offer local coffee, food, CBD products and It will also sell the “Dignitary Cafe” coffee brand, which includes medium, dark, and Jamaican roasts.

Yumm?

Yummè is a health-focused cafe offering healthy shakes, energizing teas, “guilt-free desserts, and good vibes.” Yummè’s social media teases menu items like protein waffles, meal replacement shakes, pink lemonade tea, and a gluten-free vanilla ice cream shake. The concept is also set to host a specialty iced coffee bar.
