Jimi Hendrix once warned us to not build castles made of sand by the sea, but at least this house just resembles one.
Built in 1955 by architect James Dupree, the home is located at 2375 Seminole Rd., in Atlantic Beach, and was actually designed to resemble a sandcastle. According to the listing, the 3,791-square-foot house comes with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as an indoor pool, a rooftop observation deck, antique beams re-purposed from downtown Jacksonville railroad trestles, wrought iron gates from St. Augustine, and an elevator.
The home isn't the only sand-themed house on this market, just a few minutes away a home buried under a dune is also for sale.
The "sandcastle home" is currently asking $2,297,000 and the listing agent is Robert Van Cleve of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty.
