St. Pete’s historic church house is back on the market for $2.2 million

Just a few months after selling for $1.4 million, a historic church that has been converted into a fully-renovated home is back on the market in St. Petersburg's Crescent Heights Neighborhood.

Located at 801 28th Ave. N, the building was built in 1928 and was formerly a Baptist church called the American Church of the Beatitudes.

Now, it's a 3,508-square-foot with plenty of blessed features.

The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom church-house, comes with pretty much all new everything while still keeping some of the more holier and cooler features, like a pew used as the dining room table, original stained glass windows, and exposed scissor trusses. Some of the more notable new upgrades include a gas cooktop, quartz countertops, and a saltwater pool.

The home was designed by Bluewater Builders St.Pete. According to Tampa Bay Times, the developer bought the church in 2018 for $580,000, and intended to tear it down and use the space for four new lots. However, they kept part of the church, and will now parcel off the other three lots.

The church home's current asking price is $2,249,000, and the listing agent is Tracy Reyes of Re/Max Metro.
